In order to use your device with EFT Creator, you will need the appropriate drivers installed on your system.
Here's how to ensure you have the correct device libraries and drivers.
1.) Visit Downloads on EFT Creator
2.) Click No when asked "Do you wish to download the Device Service only?"
3.) Select the Crossmatch scanner from the list.
4.) Click the Microsoft .NET 3.1 Hosting Bundle button. A download should begin in your browser.
Note: You may redirected to the Microsoft .NET webpage, but the download should automatically start.
5.) Open the File Explorer on your PC. Locate the file named dotnet-hosting-3.1.30-win.exe, it is likely in the Downloads folder.
6.) Click the icon to begin the installation.
7.) If prompted, allow the program to make changes to your computer.
8.) Click I agree to the license terms and conditions and click Install.
9.) Click Close.
10.) Return to the Downloads page, if the page has changed repeat steps 2 and 3.
11.) Click the Next button.
12.) Click the Crossmatch Drivers and Runtime button. A download should begin in your browser.
13.) Open the File Explorer on your PC. Locate the file named L_Scan_Essentials_8.1.8.8_x64_Runtime.exe, it is likely in the Downloads folder.
14. ) Click on the icon to begin the installation.
16.) Click Next on the installer.
Note: If you have previously installed the Crossmatch runtime, you may seen a screen asking you to modify or repair. Click Repair to continue.
17.) Click I accept the terms in the License Agreement and click Next.
18.) Select Next.
19.) Click Next.
20.) If prompted, allow the program to make changes to your computer.
21.) Click Install.
22.) Click Finish.
23.) Return to the Downloads page, if the page has changed repeat steps 2, 3, and 11.
24.) Click the Crossmatch Service button. A download should begin in your browser.
25.) Open the File Explorer on your PC. Locate the file named CrossmatchLScanInstaller.msi. It is likely in the Downloads folder.
26.) Click on the icon to begin the installation.
27.) Click Next.
Note: If the Crossmatch service was previously installed, you may see a screen asking you to Repair the software. Click Repair.
28.) Click Next on the Select Installation Folder.
29.) Click Next.
30.) If prompted, allow the program to make changes to your computer.
31.) Click Close.
32.) If you do not have the Device Service application, visit Getting Started for assistance in installing it. If your device service is out of date, visit Updating the Device Service. It is advised that you restart your computer after completing the installation.
