Installing and Updating the Device Libraries for Suprema Scanners

In order to use your device with EFT Creator, you will need the appropriate drivers installed on your system.

Here's how to ensure you have the correct device libraries and drivers.

 

1.) Visit Downloads on EFT Creator

 

2.) Click No when asked "Do you wish to download the Device Service only?"

 

3.) Select the Suprema scanner from the list

 

4.) Click the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable button, a download should begin in your browser.

 

5.) Open the File Explorer on your PC. Locate the downloaded file named vc_redist.x64.exe, it is likely in the Downloads folder.

 

6.) Click the icon to begin the installation.

 

7.) If prompted, allow the program to make changes to your computer.

 

8.) Check the I agree to the license terms and conditions and click Install

 

9.) Follow the instructions on the installer.

 

10.) Return to Downloads on EFT Creator.

 

11.) Click on the Suprema RealScan Drivers, a download should begin in your browser.

 

12.) Open the File Explorer on your PC. Locate the downloaded file named suprema_drivers_windows_x64.msi, it is likely in the Downloads folder.

 

13.) Click on the icon to begin the installation.

14.) When the window opens, click Next.

    Note: You may seen a screen indicating the drivers have already been installed. In this event click Repair to continue.

15.) Click I accept the terms in the License Agreement and click Next.

16.) Click Next on the Select Installation Folder Screen

17.) Click Install

18.) If prompted, allow the program to make changes to your computer.

 

19.) A new window titled RealScan_Driver(win10) - InstallShieldWizard will open. Click Next. If you are using Windows 7 or are using the S60 scanner, you will have to install additional drivers after installation is complete.

20.) Click Install.

21.) Click Finish.

22.) If you do not have the Device Service application, visit Getting Started for assistance in installing it. If your device service is out of date, visit Updating the Device Service. It is advised that you restart your computer after completing the installation.

 

23.) If you are running Windows 7 or are using the S60 scanner, you can find the appropriate drivers in C:\Program Files\Device Service Suprema RealScan Runtime and Drivers\drivers. Double-click the appropriate driver to start installation. If you are running Windows 10 and have a Suprema scanner other than the S60, the appropriate driver has already been installed.
